  • Samantha O’Rourke

    Sam O'Rourke (she/her) is a queer writer/director originally from the North West of England. Her play Our Town Needs a Nandos was staged at Liverpool's Everyman Playhouse last year. Sam's original comedy drama Mincemeat was Nominated for 3 BAFTA Cymru’s. She wrote and directed “Jelly” for Ffilm Cymru / BFI / BBC Wales / Mad as Birds, which went on to win the Chapter Queer Film Prize and feature in Iris Festival. It was also broadcast on Channel 4 and BBC. Sam was also selected for the prestigious BAFTA x Flare program. She has original series in development with The Forge, Story Collective and and Blacklight.

  • Rachel Tookey

    Rachel is an award-winning writer. Recent screen projects have been commissioned by Roundhouse, developed with the BFI Network and her short ‘The Critic’ was a finalist for the musical award at Academy Award qualifying ShortShorts Festival.

    Her plays have been supported by Arts Council England, won the Methuen/Marlowe Society’s Other Prize, the Peggy Ramsay award and been shortlisted for the Original Theatre Playwriting Prize.

    Performed extensively, Rachel’s work has played the Southwark Playhouse, Lyric Hammersmith, Arcola with readings at High Tide Festival and Kraine Theater, New York.

  • Rachel Wilson

    Rachel Wilson (they/them) is a queer, disabled producer based in the West Midlands. Their recent screen projects include short film ‘Jelly’ (Ffilm Cymru, BBC Wales, Mad as Birds). Winner of the 2022 Chapter Queer Prize, Iris Prize Best of British selection and broadcast on BBC 2 Wales & Channel 4.

    Rachel's next project ‘The Girl with the Haunted Vagina' is currently on its festival run including Norwich Film Festival, FilmQuest, Dead of Night, Soho Horror Festival, Black Sunday and Chapter Queer Prize (Runner up).

    Rachel currently has several shorts in development, including a queer period horror film supported by Ffilm Cymru and BBC Wales. They are currently Shadowing Producer for Roughcut TV’s We Might Regret This (BBC Comedy).

    Rachel is a BAFTA Connect member and was also recently selected for the BFI Creative Producer Lab and BBC Comedy Collective.

  • Katie Bonham

    Katie (she/her) is a working class film and theatre writer, director, producer and BAFTA Connect member based in the South West. Particular interests include championing working class stories and exploring original stories that challenge and surprise.

    A recipient of the Melies D’Argent award, her recent screen projects include surreal comedy drama ‘Selfie Stick’ (writer-director) for BBC4 and ‘Midnight’ (writer-director) for Bloody Disgusting’s ‘Bloody Bites TV’ and ‘Scream TV’.

    A member of Directors UK and female directing collective Cinesisters, Katie’s works have screened at festivals worldwide, including commissions from BBC Arts, with special features on BBC4 and iPlayer. Katie also works closely with local charities in mentoring aspiring filmmakers. After collaborating with Panad Productions as assistant producer for BFI Network funded ‘The Girl with the Haunted Vagina’ she is now part of the Panad team.

    Katie currently has several projects in development, including co-producing short ‘Fisitor’ supported by Ffilm Cymru.
